As a dental professional, have you ever used a product and thought, “this would work so much better if it could only do X, Y or Z?” Well, I was given the opportunity to see my thoughts and ideas brought to life. I’ve been working with CompositeSmart to create a new sectional matrix system that solves a number of issues I was having with other sectional matrix systems.
For example, some matrix rings have a tendency to spring off mid procedure, loose their ability to separate teeth, deform or even break after a relatively short period of time. And sometimes bands can be hard to grip or rip if you pull a bit too hard.
CompositeSmart designed a simple and elegant solution to these problems—SmartView Sectional Matrix System. (read more)
GRAND HAVEN, MICH. (September 17, 2012) – CompositeSmart, LLC, a dental products company, has launched its SmartView Sectional Matrix System, which uses new technology to create systems that simplify, are easier to use and last longer than those currently on the market.
The SmartView Sectional Matrix System uses a retainer that works more like a like a spring or “clip”. Instead of bending, the SmartView Clip twists, evenly distributing forces throughout the device – making it much more robust and easier to place. Because most of the SmartView clip operates at the gingival margin, forces are directed perpendicular to the tooth and down, virtually eliminating “spring-offs” mid procedure. In addition to a more resilient disposition, the SmartView Clip doubles as a rubber dam clamp. This translates into fewer steps, less clutter and with two devices combined into one, an overall better value. (read more)
